Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 6 (aligned with AFC) £37,338 - £44,962 pro rata per annum Hours/Contract:Part time -22.5 hours per week Contract Type: 6 monthsFixed Term Based: Bradford Hospice Closing date:18th November 2024 Interview date: 26th November 2024 As a Social worker at Bradford Hospice You will provide excellent psychosocial support to patients and their families known to the hospice. The post holder will support developments within the patient and family support team and work closely with clinicians and managers in ensuring relevant national guidelines are followed and implemented, the safeguarding of both adults and children, supporting the delivery of high-quality care. You will have experience working with patients and their families in health care settings and in their communities using a broad range of social work skills. What we are looking for: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work as an autonomous practitioner, as well as a team player Knowledge and understanding of palliative care Degree in Social Work or equivalent Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team Experience with discharge planning Experience dealing with safeguarding concerns. Due to the nature of the role, you will require access to a car and a valid UK driving license.
