Housing Support Worker


We are looking for ambitious individuals to join our housing support team, to provide support to individuals aged 18 and over who need assistance in managing their tenancies. The primary goal is to address any tenancy-related issues to prevent homelessness, eviction, or tenancy failure.


8-5 Monday-Friday

Key Duties:



  • Financial Support: Assist clients with managing debts, arrears, and navigating the benefits system.

  • Accommodation Assistance: Help clients find alternative housing when needed and support them in setting up new tenancies.

  • Utility Coordination: Liaise with gas, water, and electricity providers to ensure smooth transitions and continued service for clients.

  • Caseload Management: Manage a client caseload, conducting risk assessments and providing tailored housing support and advice.

  • Community Integration: Encourage and support clients to engage with and integrate into their local communities.


Required Skills and Attributes:



  • Resilience and Compassion: A positive attitude towards personal resilience and a genuine commitment to working with individuals facing multiple disadvantages or exclusions.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the flexibility to work across different projects and client groups.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, capable of explaining complex issues clearly to clients, colleagues, and managers.

  • Relevant Experience: Background in housing, support, social care, health, education, or other voluntary sector settings.
