An exciting opportunity has arisen within our dental laboratories for a forward-thinking Crown & Bridge Dental Technician (Band 5). You will join a large, multidisciplinary team who work closely to produce a wide range of appliances and restorations to meet the needs of our diverse group of patients at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester.

Applications are invited from Dental Technicians who are fully registered with the General Dental Council and hold an academic qualification as recognised by the GDC.

The successful candidate will have experience in a broad range of crown and bridge techniques and related materials .

We encourage applications from dental technicians whether your experience and background is based in a commercial dental laboratory or a NHS hospital setting.

We utilise both analogue and digital production processes across all laboratory departments and we currently have multiple CAD systems that are supported by on site 3D printing and milling CAM systems.

On a daily basis you will help to meet the needs of the NHS and University staff including Clinical Staff, Postgraduate and Undergraduate Dental Students and Qualified Dental Technicians.

We are seeking an innovative, talented and self-motivated individual to join our extended dental team. The successful candidate will have good knowledge and practical experience of crown and bridge restorations. There is also a shared responsibility to support the wider Restorative teams within the laboratory, when needed.
Duties of the role include but are not limited to:
• Undertake the construction, repair and adaptation of a range of crown and bridge restorations.
• Develop skills in specialised work.
• Construction of a variety of appliances and restorations to support the wider Restorative services – training will be provided in house as required.
• Work effectively as part of a team demonstrating attention to detail, good organisational skills and compliance with laboratory regulations and protocols.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise work in a busy dental laboratory.
