What You Will Do:
Support the Registered Care Manager with the day-to-day management and co-ordination of the extra care facilities to ensure that it is efficient, profitable and provides the highest standard of care to all customers.
Maintain records, produce reports and investigate complaints by service users and employees.
Maintain and grow carer numbers by actively recruiting new team members and guiding them through the recruitment process.
Producing weekly staffing rotas.
Maintain awareness and knowledge of up-to-date operational issues and methods. In this capacity, to share the responsibility of ensuring home care operations comply with health and safety, emergency regulations and procedures, as well as the operational policies and procedures.
Undertake out of office duties when necessary, including providing emergency hands on care, undertaking on-call duties, attendance at social events when required and offering emergency telephone assistance to care staff as and when requested.
Actively seek new business opportunities and support the commercial growth of the branch.
Effectively liaise with other departments, other employees, key stakeholders such as commissioners and customers as well as the public at large.
Other duties as requested.
What We are Looking For:
Experience in Care: Previous experience in a care role with a genuine passion for helping others is essential.
Experience in Leadership: Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
Education: NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or Work.
Availability: work 30 office hours per week.
Positive Attitude: A friendly, supportive demeanour with a genuine passion for assisting those in need.
Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their families, providing exceptional service.
Collaborator: Willingness to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and support your colleagues.
Flexibility: Willingness to work on a flexible schedule, including weekends, and adapt to the varying needs of our residents. Able to provide hands-on care during staff shortages.
Diligence: Ensure that all care tasks and wellbeing checks are managed with care and professionalism.
Background Checks: Willingness to undergo necessary background checks.
