The post holder will be expected to clinically lead, a progressive, timely CT scanning service, contributing to the 7 day working of a busy CT department. They will be accountable for their own professional actions, and those of more junior staff below them. They will be expected to uphold high standards of scanning and maintain clinical audits within the department. The successful candidate will be supported to develop leadership skills within the CT department and wider directorate.

CT Radiographer – Deputy to Principle Cross Sectional Radiographer

The Radiology Directorate at the Manchester Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a highly experienced Radiographer to a band 7 position to undertake a full-time clinical role in CT. The role will include deputising for the Cross Sectional site lead Radiographer and driving clinical standards of the highest quality.

The post holder is expected to have extensive CT experience, including evidence of teaching/ training and running a busy CT scanner. They should be able to demonstrate an excellent knowledge of CT scanning, , supported by strong evidence of CPD.

The work undertaken is varied with Interventional procedures undertaken daily alongside trauma and cancer work. We participate in a very active research programme. This new role will support the Principle CT Radiographer in the introduction and ongoing support required during the installation of new CT scanners.

The post holder will be expected to lead the already established hardworking and committed team who work in CT and to support the training and education of junior staff and students on rotation to CT.

Above all the post holder will be expected to demonstrate compassionate and patient centered care and act as a professional role model and inspire others to deliver the same.
