Social Worker – Level 3 (Child Protection Team)
Location: Blandford (Hybrid)
Contract: Temporary
Salary: £41 per hour

Myn is urgently recruiting for a Level 3 Social Worker to join our long-term partner’s Child Protection Team in Blandford. This is an impactful role where you’ll play a vital part in safeguarding children’s welfare, providing high-quality statutory services, and working in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment.

What You’ll Do:
- Deliver critical statutory services under the Children Act 1989, ensuring the safety and well-being of children.
- Conduct assessments of children’s needs, developing and renewing care plans tailored to their unique situations.
- Collaborate with a range of professionals, including health and social care providers, to provide comprehensive support.
- Prepare detailed reports for court proceedings and multi-agency meetings, advocating for the best outcomes for children.
- Apply intervention methods, support family independence, and ensure effective information sharing across teams.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on the core computer system, ensuring data integrity for reporting and inspection purposes.
- Mentor and assist less experienced social workers, offering advice on complex cases.

What We’re Looking For:
- A Social Work Degree or equivalent (e.g., CQSW, DIPSW) and registration with Social Work England.
- Proven experience in Child Protection, Child in Need, or Children in Care cases, including court involvement.In-depth knowledge of statutory legislation for child protection, risk management, and intervention methods.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to provide clear and constructive guidance to team members.
- Flexibility to meet service needs, including travel across the county and occasional out-of-hours work.A valid UK driving licence for travel as required.
