About the Team The Team is a well-established and very experienced team and sit within the Children with Disabilities Resources services alongside the Children's Crisis Service and Children with Disabilities Outreach with strong links with all other Children with Disabilities Teams. About the Role This is a children's social care Occupational Therapist role. It is primarily focused, but not limited to, applying your specialist skills and knowledge to support our duty OT service. This will involve you managing a complex caseload, providing focused or full Occupational Therapy assessments, advice and support for children and young people with a wide range of needs and will include completing risk assessments for the provision of specialist equipment and making recommendations for major and minor adaptations. You will work alongside our experienced specialist team of Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, Social Workers and Support Workers. We offer access to formal and informal learning opportunities, support and supervision that encourages Therapists to be creative and innovative and to continuously develop their skills. You will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapy Team Manager. Shortlisting Criteria To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence the following: Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy Current Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration Surrey has both urban and rural areas and locality based social care workers will be expected to have a valid driving licence to drive in the UK and access to a vehicle and be willing to travel across a wide geographical area.
