About the role


As a Laundry Assistant at MHA, you will be part of a dedicated team who maintain the general cleanliness of the resident's bedding, linen and personal clothing in a way that respects their dignity.



Duties will be varied and include washing, drying, ironing and repairing laundry items for residents. Every day will be different, and you will have the opportunity to use your skills to make a real difference.

At Aigburth care home in Leicester, we provide residential and residential dementia care for our 56 residents, in modern yet homely, en suite accommodation. It's a wonderfully calm and welcoming space, with a real community atmosphere.

About you


The right values, attitude and behaviours are more important than your previous career background. Therefore, whilst previous experience is desirable, your respect for older people and willingness to undertake training is more important.


You don't need any qualifications to get started as a Laundry Assistant. You will have a kind, warm and caring nature and be able to work well as part of a team but also use your own initiative.
