This is an exciting opportunity to lead a newly expanded financial support service for Adult Social Care users here in Bury
You will lead a dedicated team of staff delivering high-quality financial support services to our residents and their carers who are in receipt of adult social care.
These include the completion of financial assessments for charging, deferred payment agreements, personal budgets and direct payments and the provision of deputyships.
Recently expanded the team is now able to support our residents by maximising their income as well as delivering prompt financial charging support to ensure our residents can access the care they require
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Financial Assessments and Personal Budgets team.
- Oversee the financial assessment process for adult social care services.
- Ensure accurate and timely provision of personal budgets.
- Manage deputyship services, including financial management for clients who lack capacity.
- Ensure compliance with the Care Act and other relevant legislation.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve service delivery.
- Provide training and support to team members.
- Liaise with other departments, external agencies, and stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on service performance and outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in financial assessments, personal budgets, and deputyship services.
- Strong knowledge of the Care Act and relevant legislation.
- Proven leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
