Personal Care Assistant - Hourly Rate = £13.75 - Yarm area

This role requires a female personal assistant to support a female wheelchair user with personal care, medications, monitoring of health conditions and domestic tasks including some cleaning, cooking/baking and assisting with other tasks around the home as needed.

Support in accessing the community and attending appointments when health permits will be needed so the role requires a driver with a Full UK Driving Licence who is willing and able to drive an automatic Motability vehicle and learn to operate wheelchair hoist, powered lifting cushion and any other equipment required.

Initially the role is for 9 hours per week spread across 3 weekdays during daytime hours, with preferred hours in the middle of the day (however days to be worked and variations to set hours are negotiable) with some flexibility required to cover appointments etc.

As personal assistant your job will be to provide the medical, domestic and social assistance that is needed to enable life to be lived as well as possible. You must be able to respect privacy and understand the need for confidentiality in all areas of your work.

This role requires somebody who is trustworthy, interested and will be proactive in their role, is open to learning new skills and considerate of care needs and home environment and who is willing to work flexibly with the potential for increased hours in the future.

Ideally the successful applicant will:

have had all Covid 19 / Flu vaccinations and be willing to have further vaccines each year when available,

be willing to use PPE in and out of the home when requested,

be in contact prior to attending work if they or their immediate family members are unwell prior to coming to work so as not to transmit infections,

be a non-smoker.

Post is subject to references and DBS check.

At the time of starting work, the successful candidate must have permission to work in the UK
