Quarriers REACH service based in Glasgow are currently recruiting a part time Link Worker who will deliver support for children and young people who are effected by emotionally based non attendance at school.
REACH supports children and young people, between the age of 5-16 who are enrolled in a primary or secondary school in Glasgow. Children and young people referred to REACH will find attending school difficult for a range of different reasons or will be at risk of further disengaging from school. Reasons for this could include poor mental health, including anxiety about attending school, language and communication difficulties or other concerns identified by people who know you well.
As a Link Worker you will be accessible to Children & Young People referred to the service throughout the year, including during school holiday periods. You will work closely professionals within and across education and other relevant partner services such as Psychological services, Social Work Services, Health Services, Police Scotland, Glasgow Life or Third Sector organisations who are actively involved with the young person.

Working pattering: This is a permanent part time role working 17.5 hours per week, days will be discussed with successful candidate.
What you will need to bring to the role
• Capacity and desire to achieve appropriate registration with the Scottish Social Services Council and achieve further qualification conditions within appropriate timescales.
• Previous experience of working in a care/support setting that is person-centred and outcome-focused, preferably with Children and Young people within an educational setting.
• Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary framework, building and maintaining professional and productive relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to use various IT systems.
• Full UK driving licence is desirable.
