SALARY: £50,788 - £56,075 pro rata + Generous Benefits (see below)

LOCATION: Hybrid split between working from home and the office in Wokingham.

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, 12 Month Fixed Term Contract


JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an IT Programme Manager with proven experience of delivering and managing projects within Adult Social Care and Children’s Services, staff management skills and ability to understand technical system designs and concepts.

Working as the IT Programme Manager you will be responsible for the successful delivery and monitoring of core strategic programmes within a portfolio of change, with proven experience of delivering projects for Adult Social Care and Children’s Services.

You will provide knowledge and experience of leading/managing programmes of work including the following systems – Mosaic, Capita One, CRM for Education to name but a few. You will focus on programme objectives, programme level risk and issue management and benefits to be owned, measured, and tracked.

In this pivotal role as the IT Programme Manager you will engage with cross-functional senior stakeholders to drive good governance across the programmes and ensure information is clear and transparent, support change management, maximise opportunities, escalate issues and address any resourcing impacts.


DUTIES

Your duties as the IT Programme Manager include:

• Delivery and Monitoring: Responsible for the successful delivery and monitoring of core strategic programmes within a portfolio of change, particularly in Adult Social Care and Children’s Services

• Risk and Issue Management: Focus on programme objectives, programme-level risk and issue management, and benefits tracking

• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with cross-functional senior stakeholders to drive good governance, support change management, and address resourcing impacts

• Quality Assurance: Assure the quality and accuracy of reporting across programmes, capture and disseminate lessons learned, and align with Business Change and PMO departments

• Project Management: Monitor IT project/programme delivery, manage project budgets and resources, and resolve issues and dependencies


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Programme and Project Management: Relevant qualifications or skills and experience in programme and project management (e.g., MSP or similar) are essential

• Technical Understanding: Ability to grasp and interpret technical system designs, concepts, and documentation, and articulate them to stakeholders with varying levels of technical understanding

• Communication and Organizational Skills: Good communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to prepare reports and briefing notes, and highly developed organizational skills

• Experience in Managing Projects: Proven ability in managing projects, other managers, and staff to achieve agreed outputs within budget, including benefit realisation

• Proven experience of delivering projects within Adult Social Care and Children’s Services, including Mosaic, Capita One and CRM for Education

• Proven experience and evidence of working in multiple technical & analytical disciplines (data, system & workflow improvements, implementation of new portals)

• Ability to work on own initiative, to solve problems, and to take decisions to secure required results
