Commissioning & Quality Assurance Officer Adult Social Care

Learning Disability & Autism

Grade 11 £36,648 - £38,223

Permanent

37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

6 Knowsley Place, Duke Street, Bury and agile working (typically 2 days per week in the office - Mondays & Thursdays)


Come and help us make sure that Bury people receive the highest standards of care! We have an exciting opportunity to join our Commissioning Team.

The post is responsible for

  • developing quality of services in Bury within that are registered with CQC.
  • managing contracts for a portfolio of services within a commissioning work area (e.g. older people, learning disabilities and autism etc).
  • collaborating with other departments as necessary, especially with NHS staff and finance, legal and procurement, and with Providers to ensure that quality is understood on an integrated service delivery basis and that contracts are issued promptly and monitored effectively
  • contributing to the implementation of commissioning strategies for people and services within this work area
  • leading on the preparation and collation of information to support and maintain the development of quality services in Bury and to support the contract monitoring process.

An excellent team player, you will have experience of building and maintaining relationships with a wide range of people including customers, relatives, carers and Providers. You will have experience of working with external Providers, including effectively managing poor performance by a provider of services, to ensure positive outcomes for both the customer and provider. You will have experience of negotiating effectively, and are used to using your own initiative.
