Role: Y6 1:1 Behaviour Support - FULL TIME Role from December 2024 to July 2025

Location: PR1 Primary School

Work Times: 30 hours per week across 5 days (working time: 8.45am - 3.15pm)

Pay Rate: £12.90-£14 per hour



The Headteacher of a primary school in Penwortham is looking for a teaching assistant to support a child on a 1:1 basis in Year 6. This will be a five-day per week position covering 32.5 hours. The rate of pay is competitive with other roles of this sort, so is a very good opportunity.

In terms of needs the child in question can sometimes become dis-engaged, a firm but fair approach is required. The child does have a keen interest in sport therefore if you hold a sports qualification this would be considered. This child responds well to scaffolded tasks and smiley faces. The Teaching Assistant would be expected to be able to de - escalate challenging behaviour and notice triggers in change of behaviour to prevent.

Candidates must hold a relevant childcare qualification, health and social care qualification or Teaching Assistant qualification (L2 minimum).
