The Mental Health Nurse (RMN/RNLD) is a key member of the multidisciplinary care team and will be responsible for assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating care, communicating findings, influencing change and promoting health and best practices, patient safety and experience.

The post holder will be professionally accountable to the Executive Director of Nursing, and operationally accountable to the Matron / Clinical Service Manager.
• Act as, or train to become, a Practice Assessor. Support student nurses' learning and development through assessment and feedback.
• Comply with NMC registration, revalidation, and Code of Conduct standards.
• Support the implementation of nursing strategies and adhere to KMPT policies and values.
• Identify, report, and respond to safeguarding concerns.
• Prioritize patient safety through safe practice, risk management, and incident reporting.
• Provide holistic care, including education, medication management, and support for patients and their carers.
• Supervise staff, manage workloads, and undertake specific clinical responsibilities as required.
