A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Support Worker to join a learning disabilities service in Wetherby, where the staff team play a key role to positively encourage development of adults who have a range of complex and diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support individuals with complex needs to achieve their personal goals
• Assist with meal preparation and medication management
• Supporting individuals with household tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
• Closely monitor physical changes within individuals
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided
• Provide personal care to individuals, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care
• Follow personalised care plans
Requirements:
• At least 12 months previous professional experience in Social Care within the UK
• Experience caring for individuals with complex care needs
• Experience supporting individuals with autism and epilepsy
• Being a driver with access to your own vehicle is desirable
• Moving and handling experience or training is desirable
• Enthusiastic and confident
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends
• A positive, calm, and proactive attitude
• Commitment to ongoing training and professional development
