Job Title: Youth Practitioner (Residential Support Worker)
Location: Birkenhead, CH42
Salary: £25,469.34 - £26,768.99 per annum (DOE)
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time (40 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities:



  • Support and meet the needs of young people in accordance with their individual care plans.

  • Collaborate with young people, families, social workers, and external agencies to provide holistic support.

  • Safeguard the welfare and safety of the young people, ensuring work aligns with legislative and procedural requirements.

  • Participate in planning and reviewing care, health, and education plans for young people.

  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment that promotes personal development and social care best practices.


What We're Looking For:



  • Understanding of developmental needs of young people (physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and educational).

  • Knowledge of Child Protection procedures and Social Care Services.

  • Team player with the ability to demonstrate sensitivity, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage emotional stress and motivate both yourself and others.

  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
