Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of a fantastic Sunderland School for a confident Behaviour Support Specalist. The role will require you to work alongside a class teacher to support learning, you may also be expected to work 1:1 with children across multiple year groups also.

If you have a passion for working with children or a background in care. and you can reliably commute to Sunderland, we would love to hear from you!

The ideal candidate will be able to:
- Work effectively as part of a team within the classroom ensuring that all the children are looked after and learning from the taught content.
- Work 1:1 with children with SEN.
- Work coherently with teachers in providing support for students.
- Have a passion for assisting students.
- Be enthusiastic and proactive in the classroom.
- Have experience working 1:1 with children who have barriers to learning (ASD, ADHD, PMLD, VI, HI)
- Experience working within an SEN school setting or social care.
- Promote and encourage independence and personal development.

Candidates that have been successful within this setting have had some experience in any of the following:
- Scouts Leadership
- Sports Coaching
- Challenging Behaviour Settings
- Health and Social Care Settings
- 1:1 Support
- SEN TA
- Educational Settings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
