A little about myself:
I am a young adult with autism. I enjoy a range of activities including trampolining, skateboarding, bike riding and scootering. I also enjoy swimming, playing air hockey, table tennis, ten pin bowling and group drumming. I enjoy cooking, going to pizza hut and coffee shops and attending motorbike/ rally car racing events and watching them performing stunts. I enjoy screen time, listening to music and dancing and I have been to a few live music events. I also like calm, structured and focused activities, including jigsaws, tabletop activities and Wii sports. I am looking for a PA to accompany to do the things I like.

Full training will be given.

Driver required to take me out (but not essential).

No preference of male or female.

Essential:
I need you to:
• have a natural ability to communicate clearly and to connect and interact with young individuals
• Have a caring and supportive nature with an ability to establish rules and set boundaries.
• Have an enthusiastic and energetic disposition and a willingness to engage and provide exposure to various activities.
• Be a reliable and organized person with a genuine desire to assist and connect with individuals who have additional learning needs.
• Have a proven experience of working with children/young adults.
• Experience of working with additional learning needs or equivalent would be desirable, but not essential.
• A minimum level 2 qualification in childcare/teaching assistant or equivalent

I will need my PA to:

Have business insurance on your car to take clients out.

Concerning the position
A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis). A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible.
