Social Worker – Specialist Children’s Services
Location: South-East England

Are you a Social Worker with a passion for supporting children and families? We’re looking for motivated and committed professionals to join a dedicated team in Children’s Services. Role Overview
As a Social Worker within the Children & Families sector, you’ll handle a varied caseload and collaborate with partner agencies to create and implement effective care plans. This role offers a supportive environment to grow, with initial high supervision for new practitioners and increasing autonomy as you gain experience.


What You’ll Do:
Manage Cases: Oversee a caseload of varying complexity, conducting assessments, planning interventions, and preparing reports.
Collaborate: Work closely with health services, schools, and other agencies to support children and families.
Record & Report: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of cases in line with county procedures.
Develop Professionally: Participate in ongoing training to meet the standards set by the Social Care Capability Framework.


About You:
Qualifications: Degree in Social Work or equivalent; registration with Social Work England.


Skills: Excellent communication, report-writing, and interpersonal skills. Able to work both independently and as part of a team.


Knowledge: Strong understanding of child development, attachment theory, and the Children Act. Familiar with Looked After Children, Children in Need, and Child Protection frameworks.


Experience: Relevant experience working within Children’s Services. Systemic practice knowledge (e.g., Signs of Safety) is beneficial.
