We are delighted to be advertising for a Psychologist specialising in working with Care Leaver, Asylum Seeker & Refugee young people in the trust's Camden Young People Service. The post holder will be part of the senior team at the HIVE which consists of the Catch 22 Director, Service Manager, Senior Young Persons Wellbeing Practitioner and Youth Programme Coordinator. The HIVE is a part of the Minding the Gap (MTG) Transitions provision, which consists of the Catch 22 Assistant Director, Hub Manager and two Clinical Team Leads. In additional to direct clinical work as a Psychologist work with this group of young people, the post holder will also contribute to and have some responsibility for the clinical and operational management of the service, particularly as it pertains to looked after children, care leavers, asylum seekers and refugees.
The focus of the work will be on young people who are under the care of Camden Social Services aged 16-25 and those who are asylum seekers or refugees. The post holder's caseload will consist of young people from these at-risk groups. They may be asked to supervise The Hive’s Young People’s workers who have looked after children, care leavers, asylum seekers and refugees on their caseloads.
They will work in partnership with The Hive’s Clinical Team Leads, and will take up this role once a fortnight, liaising with other agencies as appropriate, developing strong relationships with the looked after teams in Camden and the Refugees teams.They will be supervised by a Senior Psychologist in the Young People Service in Camden and will meet with The Hive’s Service Manager to operationally manage the service and agree on service strategy and referral co-ordination.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
2.1 Clinical Responsibilities
The post holder will:
· Have caseload of young people who are looked after young people, care leavers, asylum seekers and refugees.
· Liaise with Camden CAMHS and Camden Adult Mental Health Services
· Liaise with teams that work with looked after children, care leavers, asylum seekers and refugees
· Undertake risk assessment and risk management for relevant individual service users.
· Attend professional meetings, annual reviews and case conferences related to referred young people as appropriate.
· Understand the existing local services for young people using the project and contribute to decisions regarding appropriate referral onto other agencies.
· Contribute to multi-disciplinary and multi-agency work with young people as appropriate.
· Maintain a high standard of clinical record-keeping and maintaining good communication with colleagues.
· Observe personal duty of care in relation to equipment and resources.
· Practice within the legal and ethical framework set out by the NMC code of professional conduct and other relevant legislation such as the Mental Capacity Act, Mental Health Act and Safeguarding procedures.
· Uphold high professional standards at all time in line with Hub policies and Trust policies and guidance from the post holder’s relevant professional body.
2.2 Management and Leadership
· Use established measures to monitor clinical outcomes across the whole service.
· Lead on looked after children, care leavers, asylum seekers and refugee mental health at the Hive and be a resource for the Hive Team
2.3 Teaching, training, and supervision
· Participate in an agreed programme of post-qualification training and professional development towards developing advanced knowledge and practice.
· Deliver training in The Hive way to other health and social care staff where appropriate, and internally to the staff team
· Deliver training and updates to Hive staff on working with looked after children, care leavers, asylum seekers and refugees
2.5 Stakeholder Engagement· Participate in young people engagement to build a young person led service.
· Working with partners and other relevant agencies in Camden, for example: Work with the Care-Experienced Pathways, Housing Organisations that are entrusted to house this group of young people; to have a strong working relationship with the Commissioner of Services relevant to this group of young people; forging strong relationships with Third Sector Organisations/Charities, such as Victims of Torture, Baobab Centre etc, in order to share knowledge and expertise and develop best practise in this area .
· Providing consultation, training, and teaching specific to making professional services more accessible to young people.
