Job Title: Business Development Manager – Adult Services - Accomplish

Location: Nationwide (Covering South Coast, South West and South Wales)

Salary: £50-55k

Type: Full-time

Reports to: Lead Business Development Manager

We are dedicated to inspiring and supporting people to live happy, healthy and successful lives by providing EPIC support. We support individuals with complex support needs including mental health conditions, learning disabilities, autism and acquired brain injuries.

Job Summary: We are looking for a dynamic, energetic and passionate Business Development Manager to join the commercial team. The Business Development Manager will play a crucial role in driving the growth and expansion of our adult services. This individual will be responsible for ensuring we reach our budgeted occupancy levels, identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships. They will also play a crucial and rewarding part to create amazing homes and ensuring the sustainability and profitability of our residential care and supported living services. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the social care sector, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in business development. This role will be home based with regular travel covering our South West, South Coast and South Wales area and will include regular travel to our Support Centre in Halesowen, Birmingham.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Occupancy Management

  • To line manage and supervise the Referrals Manager for the adult support services.

  • To increase occupancy rates in our existing support services by developing and implementing targeted strategies.

  • To work with our Bids and Tender Manager to ensure Accomplish is on the right frameworks to support our referral pipelines.

  • Oversee the coordination of tender opportunities, facilitating bid/no bid meetings and working with stakeholders to complete submissions.

  • To proactively build and continuously strengthen our referral networks with healthcare professionals, social workers, and commissioners to increase the number of referrals received.

  • To track and review our referral performance by monitoring and reporting on occupancy data, identifying trends and areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.

  • To work with our operational support teams to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention with our funders across Councils, NHS and Health Boards, to reduce turnover and ensure Accomplish remain a preferred supplier.

  1. Strategic Planning and Development:

  • Act as a growth business partner to the operational team working collaboratively to develop and implement long-term growth strategies.

  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support decision-marking and operational planning.

  • Facilitate cross-functional communication and collaboration, ensuring seamless integration of business development activities with operational processes.

  • Identify and assess new market opportunities and potential areas for expansion.

  • To review and analyse tender opportunities for new business and coordinate the bid/no bid process by managing the process including coordinating stakeholders across the business to ensure a high-quality submission.

  1. Partnership and Relationship Management:

  • To create, build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Local Authorities, NHS Trust, Health Boards, Registered Providers, Landlords and Developers.

  • To negotiate and secure contracts with new partners and service providers.

  • To represent Accomplish at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

  1. Project Management:

  • To lead and manage projects related to the expansion of residential care and supported living services.

  • To ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

  • To co-ordinate colleagues across Keys Group and Accomplish, including operations, marketing, and finance, to ensure seamless project execution.

  1. Marketing and Communications:

  • To work closely with the marketing team to develop and implement effective marketing campaigns to promote our EPIC support services.

  • To create compelling proposals, presentations, and promotional materials.

  • To enhance the organisation's brand awareness, visibility and reputation in the adult social care sector.

  1. Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • To ensure all business development activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.

  • To promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality assurance in all aspects of service delivery.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in business development or sales, preferably within the social care or healthcare sector.

  • Strong understanding of the adult social care landscape, including residential care and supported living services.

  • Experience working with commissioning authorities and health professionals.

  • Proven track record of achieving business growth and developing strategic partnerships.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong project management and organisational abilities.

  • Financial acumen and experience in service modelling.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to our EPIC Values.
