Are you passionate about inclusion and diversity, and making a positive and lasting difference for the people of Hull? If so, a great opportunity has arisen for the right person to join Adult Social Care (ASC) as a Service Development Officer (Inclusion and Diversity).
Hull City Council ASC is committed to inclusivity for all and values the voice and influence of people who receive support from our services, carers, the community, our staff and our partners when developing, delivering, improving and evaluating the services we provide, and we want to ensure ASC is fully inclusive of the community in all that it does. This will help to deliver on our ASC ambition and vision of ‘A life not a service - supporting people to experience love, friendship, and relationships, have meaning in their lives, and to live safely in the place they call home as valued and contributing members of their communities’.
You will work as part of the Service Development Team, and will leadthe development of an Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) framework that translates the corporate EDI strategy into an ASC measurable action plan and develop a network of champions in ASC, working alongside corporate colleagues, to embed best practice. Key to this role will also include the gathering and analysis of data relating to protected characteristics and development of plans to highlight continuous improvement in service delivery.
If you are an excellent communicator, creative, and have an ability to build strong collaborative relationships, with experience of citizen led working with a wide range of communities from diverse backgrounds, we will be excited to hear from you.
For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Gemma Laister, Strategic Lead for Improvement & Assurance on 01482 615167 or email gemma.laister@hullcc.gov.uk
