Acorns Children's Hospice Trust are looking for a Clinical Support Worker for Play at our Birmingham Hospice to have responsibility for planning and delivering play and activities for children and young people attending the hospice. About the Role At Acorns, we aim to make every day a special day for children who spend time with us at a hospice. We provide complex care for babies, children and young people, who have life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, both in our hospices and in their homes. Our Clinical Support Workers for Play are part of a supportive, multi-disciplinary team delivering care packages that are tailored to each childs individual holistic needs and were structured so that youll simply have the time to care. As a Clinical Support Worker for Play, youll Assist nurses in assessing the care needs of the children Liaise with the Matron to plan and deliver appropriate activities for children and adolescents of varying ages and abilities Develop, plan and evaluate play programs, activities and events Create opportunities within the hospice that support the education, learning and development needs of the children and young people Co-ordinate effective use of resources including gardens and sensory rooms Discover what it's like to work in an Acorns Children's Hospice: More Than End of Life Care About You Care certificate or willing to work towards NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care or equivalent Experience in a creative environment for children and young people with complex health needs What We Offer £25,235 - £26,265 per annum.
