Children’s Home Registered Manager

Duston, Northampton

Up to £45 + Generous Annual Bonus

I am looking for an experienced Registered Manager for small home for children and young people in Northampton, which is owned by family-run company who really invest in their staff. The Home will provide assessment and medium to long-term placements for young people with emotional and behavioural needs.

As this is a new home you will be given the opportunity to really make a difference in the lives of children and young people and be able to building up your own staff team.

In this post you will:

Work with the Senior Management Team to promote the values and ethos of the company
Manage all aspects of the Children’s Home
Take responsibility for the implementation of all young people’s placements to support their emotional and mental wellbeing
Recruiting a brand new staff team
Take the lead in the development, implementation, monitoring and review of standards across the home
Ensure exceptional levels of care for all young people and ongoing compliance with regulatory frameworks
Establish and maintain a competent, motivated and confident staff team
Provide supervision and development of the residential care staff
Be the responsible person for managing child protection concerns, complaints and health and safety in order to ensure that the needs of all young people are met

For this role you must have:

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Social Care Services (or equivalent)
A minimum of five years’ residential experience within the children’s home sector
A minimum of two years’ recent management experience in the children’s home sector
Experience in applying policies and procedures relating to the care of young people and the management of services
Experience of current Ofsted Inspection Framework
Sound knowledge of governing legislation, procedures and best practice in caring for children
A full manual UK driving licence
