Senior Care Practitioner (Days) – Fleetwood Hall Care Home

Hourly Rate: £13.68 per hour
Hours: 38.5 hours per week (3-4 shifts per week, on a rotating schedule)
Shift Times: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Fleetwood Hall Care Home, part of the Sandstone Care Group, is a modern, 62-bed residential facility nestled near the beautiful Lancashire coastline. Our dedicated team, led by Manager Joanne, provides compassionate care in a supportive environment, utilizing state-of-the-art facilities and innovative care planning technology. We are seeking compassionate and skilled individuals to join our day team and help us continue to deliver the highest standards of care.

As a Senior Care Practitioner at our home, your role may involve:

Completing necessary training to stay current with best practices
Assisting residents with personal care, hygiene, meals, and daily activities
Administering medications per care plans and ensuring accurate documentation
Providing emotional support and companionship to residents
Encouraging residents to pursue fulfilling activities, respecting their hobbies, preferences, and abilities
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety within the care home
Leading in a senior capacity, including supervising staff, conducting appraisals, managing record-keeping, coordinating with external professionals, and participating in hiring processes

*Overtime is paid for working over full time hours. However, overtime enhancement will not feature on your contract of employment and can be withdrawn at any time as managers decision is final. What are we looking for?

Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a residential or nursing care setting
A compassionate personality and a positive attitude
A Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care or a commitment to achieve it
Proficiency in record-keeping and familiarity with technology
Calmness under pressure and the ability to guide team members effectively
Flexibility to accommodate shift patterns tailored to residents' needs
