Neighbourhood Community Mental Health Team Manager - South Warwickshire

1 WTE

Full time, permanent role based in Leamington Spa and Stratford Healthcare

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic manager to lead our Community Mental Health Team.

You will be part of a management team including two other team managers, a clinical lead, deputy managers and social care team managers to provide excellent evidence based care to adults across south Warwickshire with secondary care mental health needs.

This team is proactive in embedding and utilising multidisciplinary roles to provide recovery and outcome focused interventions to service users, whilst meeting local and national targets.

The successful candidate will be an experienced mental health professional with knowledge and skills in leadership, managing staff, and be a team player committed to innovation and service development. The successful person will support the ongoing transformation. The candidate will be able to demonstrate their personal alignment with the Trust’s Values. You will establish relationships and communication links with their local neighbourhoods and primary care networks.

This role requires the ability to multitask; incorporating service development, operational and people management. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential.

You will be responsible for the day to day management of the team and will have experience in the leadership and supervision of clinical staff and have excellent knowledge of health and social care policy relating to the delivery of mental health care.

As the Team Manager you will be expected to input into service evaluations and audits as well as carry out the managerial responsibilities of appraisals, managing sickness/absence and training for staff. Innovation and a creative approach are encouraged and being a positive role model is essential. The team consists of a number of professionals which include nurses, social workers, AMHPs, occupational therapists and psychologists some of whom you will be expected to line manage directly. The service is split into Leamington Spa and Stratford areas with bases in each area, however staff work across all bases as required. As a manager you will be responsible for a defined number of Primary Care Networks.

Services are provided to a population of over one million people living in Coventry and Warwickshire and also a wider geographical area in some of our specialist services, we see on average around 5,000 patients every day.

As the successful candidate you must have a professional qualification i.e., nursing, occupational therapist or social worker, with substantial post registration experience as a qualified professional of which you will have recent experience working with clients within a secondary care mental health setting.

The working hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. You may occasionally need to work flexibly outside regular office hours to respond to service user need.
