Bluebird Care are proud to be rated outstanding by the CQC. A rating that was awarded to us due to the way we care for both our staff and our customers.

While Bluebird Care is a national home care provider, our office is a locally owned family business, run separately to other branches.

What we do:

We're committed to keeping elderly and vulnerable people living in the comfort of their own homes, as an alternative to residential care.

As a live-in care assistant, you would provide an unrivalled level of care and support by living with our customer in their home for a defined period of time. You would therefore be entitled to regular breaks, both during your working days and to take time off.

While many companies only pay live-in care assistants for contact time, we also pay for your journeys to and from each customer.

Responsibilities of a live-in care assistant:

- Live in our customer's home for a defined period of time
- Personal care duties
- Administering medication
- Manual handling, using equipment where required
- Promoting customer health and wellbeing
- Companionship and help with activities/appointments
- Plan, prepare and cook nutritious meals
- Shopping and domestic tasks around the home

To become a live-in care assistant, you need:

- Right to work in the UK (unfortunately we cannot provide sponsorship)
- No experience as full training is provided
- Excellent level of English
- To be aged 18+
- A driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable, but not essential

In addition to a secure and stable career, we offer:

- £763-£952 p/wk
- Paid percentage of travel expenses
- Enhanced bank holiday rate
- Significant investment in your career development (up to £5,000 within your first two years)
- A dedicated live-in care office team to support you
- National qualifications in health & social care
- Defined career pathway
- Full induction training and ongoing support
- Dementia training as standard
- Refer a friend (up to £250 per person)
- Refer a customer (up to £100 per customer)
