I am a fun, friendly four-year-old boy who has a severe physical disability. Like most four-year-olds I love to play, have fun and meet new people. Due to my disability, I need lots of physical support to help me do the things I enjoy.

Driver required to take me out.

Male / female no preference

Hours of work: 6 Hours per week

Rate of pay: £12.75

Essential:
I need you to:
• Participate in manual handling (full training/support will be given).
• Work with my parents to ensure that I am safe, happy and that my needs are met.
• Have a great attitude, be energetic and have a smile on your face.
• Be happy to help me participate in the things I enjoy at home like sing songs to me and play with toys.
• Explore the farm on which I live including picnics, feeding the animals and spend time in the play barn.
• Be dependable and arrive on time.
• Be patient and be aware that it may take time to build trust.
• Be friendly and comfortable working in a home environment.

Desirable
I’d prefer if:
Experience working with children with disability (However full training will be given)

I will need my PA to:

Respect and understand the importance of privacy and confidentiality.
Be confident, mature and have patience.
Be dependable and arrive on time.
Be friendly with an easy-going manner.
Be adaptable and flexible.
Be supportive but not take over.

Concerning the position

A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis). A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible.
