An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an outstanding individual to lead the Trust’s Digital Application Integration and Innovation teams.
The Trust is embarking on a new Digital Strategy which will result in the implementation of a single Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system.
In line with the above ambition, experienced gained in supporting and managing application estates during EPR implementations would be particularly beneficial. It is envisaged that the post holder will utilise their experience to help the applications team transition from multiple legacy clinical systems towards a single EPR.
The role will bring together existing integration teams whilst developing the RPA function and exploring the exciting world of AI.
The primary objective of this post is to lead the team that ensures the effective integration and automated interaction between the Trust’s core applications, with the post-holder also being responsible for the
maintenance and development of Intelligent automation (IA) combining Robotic process Automation (RPA) with Artificial Intelligence (AI) to deliver solutions across the organisation. They work closely with the
Associate Director of Applications Services to ensure that objectives & budgets are achieved, and risks are minimised.
The Head of Integration & Innovation will provide the direction required to ensure their team can meet the Trust’s needs and objectives within agreed timelines, budget and desired quality metrics, ensuring
that workforce planning and performance align with demand. The post holder will act as the subject matter expert for IA, RPA and AI and will use skills and knowledge to create end-to-end business processes that think, learn and adapt on their own.
The Head of Integration & Innovation will lead and drive the development and sustainability of the Trust’s digital interface and robotic technologies, continually striving to improve quality and responsiveness
of these applications for the benefit of colleagues and patients alike.
The post holder will achieve this through the leadership & management of a team of skilled and motivated development and integration professionals, either line or matrix managed, to ensure these applications and services are available and fit for purpose.
As a pivotal member of the Application Services leadership team, the Head of Integration & Innovation will provide critical input to the Trust’s application strategy & vision, supporting the AD of Application Services and advocating for the effective implementation of agreed approaches. They will provide insight and input into development opportunities such as RPA and AI.
