1:1 Intervention Teaching Assistant Job Description


We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced 1:1 Intervention Teaching Assistant to join our team in Hackney, Greater London. This is a temporary position, with full-time hours expected. As a 1:1 Intervention Teaching Assistant, you will primarily work in the education and training industry, providing support to students who require additional assistance.
- Providing 1:1 interventions to students, offering support in various subjects such as literacy, numeracy, reading and writing.
- Assisting students with special educational needs (SEN) and providing behavioural support when necessary.
- Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement individualised education plans.
- Monitoring and recording students' progress, highlighting any areas of concern or improvement.
- Creating engaging and interactive learning activities to enhance students' educational experience.
- Supporting students with social and emotional development, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Adhering to safeguarding policies and ensuring the well-being and safety of students at all times.
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Health and Social Care Level 3 qualification.

A minimum of Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is required for this role.

Prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Proficient in delivering 1:1 interventions to students.
- A strong understanding of special educational needs (SEN) and behavioural support techniques.
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
- Ability to effectively support students in their reading and writing development.

Additional relevant qualifications or certifications would be advantageous.

This is a temporary position, and you will be expected to work full-time hours. The role will be based in Hackney, Greater London, England. As a 1:1 Intervention Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students and other professionals in an educational setting.

Salary: £85.00 - £95.00 per day (PAYE)
