Female Support Worker
Required to work with a lady in her thirties with a diagnosis of cerebral palsy in her own home and in the Cardiff area. Client lives with her husband, cat and dog and likes to live a full and active lifestyle.
Role will involve all personal & domestic care, as well as supporting client to attend and participate in a wide range of different activities, including attending the gym / boxing as well as supporting client to care for her cat and dog. The client completes head painting and runs regular market stalls, the support worker will need to assist with these.
Previous experience, full driving licence are essential.
You must be registered with OR working towards registration with Social Care Wales
You must hold a recognised Health and Social Care qualification (NVQ Level 2 or a Diploma) OR have completed the All-Wales Induction Framework OR be willing to complete this within 6 months of starting if successful.
Competent IT skills are desirable.
14 hours per week – shifts to be negotiated at interview.
£13.59 per hour weekdays
£14.68 per hour weekends
£11.44 per hour Weekday night / Sleep rate
£11.91 per hour Weekend night / Sleep rate
This position requires a fully enhanced disclosure request from the DBS.
You will also be required to register with the DBS Update Service.
