About the programme: This position forms part of the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) programme funded by Innovate UK (IUK). A KTP is a 3-way collaboration between a graduate (or post-graduate), a business (or not for profit organisation) and a university or research institution. KTPs are designed to deliver an innovation project and bring about lasting, transformative change. As a KTP Associate, you will lead the project with full support from company and academic supervisors, while benefiting from expert coaching and mentoring with one of IUK’s highly experienced Advisers.
The University of Hertfordshire wishes to recruit a motivated, highly skilled, and qualified graduate to lead and deliver a project with Delight Supported Living, a care agency and domiciliary care provider in the health and social care sector. This project will deliver a software system that uses AI techniques to optimise staff job scheduling, based on criteria such as carer route optimisation, carer qualifications, skills and experience etc. The KTP includes access to management skills training delivered by Ashorne Hill, in addition to a £5,500 training budget.
About Delight Supported Living (DSL): DSL was originally registered to deliver home care to vulnerable adults but now also deliver to vulnerable adults with learning disabilities, provide nurses and care staff to the NHS, care homes and mental health hospitals. Pioneering the growth of DSL’s health-tech division, this project will create a new product that will enable the company to better allocate resources and increase their number of Service Users (SU), whilst tackling long-standing problems common to all care providers. The innovative 'software-as-a-service' will offer step-change benefits beyond only partially effective competitor 'scheduling' software.
