An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Secretary to work in the Neurology department. With demand on our services at an all-time high, the role our department provides has never been more critical.

We have one position available to support the Neurology Service which is full-time 37.5 hours per week.

As a Medical Secretary your main duties will cover:
• Medical audio transcription of clinical correspondence.
• Carry out administrative instructions dictated in the correspondence including booking appointments via the Booking and Scheduling Department.
• Update NPSA16 investigation tracker following transcription of correspondence.
• Deal with internal and external telephone enquiries from patients, staff and external agencies.
• Undertake routine office duties including printing, scanning and filing.
• Organising your workload to meet our KPI’s.

• Be able to prioritise your workload effectively.
• Pride yourself on being organised.
• Have an excellent eye for detail.
• Be confident using a computer and Microsoft Office.
• Have an excellent telephone manner.
• Be able to communicate effectively and manage patient expectation.
• Strive to give our patients an excellent customer service.
• Be enthusiastic, resilient, confident, and committed.
