St Michael’s Hospital is offering opportunities for Band 3 Senior Maternity Support Workers to join our dedicated and caring team on the antenatal/postnatal ward. Main duties of the job
As a Band 3 Senior Maternity Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting families and newborn babies with their healthcare needs. You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals, delivering high-quality care.
Key Requirements to Apply:
To be shortlisted for this role, you must demonstrate on your application the following:
• Maths qualification at GCSE A*-C / 4-9 or Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent
• English qualification at GCSE A*-C / 4-9 or Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent
• Level 3 qualification (or higher) in any subject
• Experience or a passion for working in maternity care.
• Caring experience in a healthcare or social care setting.
We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn, have excellent communication skills, and a positive, can-do attitude.
If you do not have previous acute care experience, we offer a 12-week Band 2 to Band 3 Trainee Programme. This programme will equip you with the necessary skills and experience to successfully transition into the Band 3 role.
