We are currently seeking an experienced Specialty Doctor Histopathologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be a well-motivated individual looking to develop and extend their skills.

We can offer a place in a large dynamic service that in the Greater Manchester centre for neuropathology and Upper GI surgery. Our repertoire includes dermatopathology, neuropathology, renal , GI, gynae, head and neck, Breast and urology pathology. We provide onsite assessment of renal and non-gynae samples at our Salford site. We have an , histochemistry and immunofluorescence service. The departments are both UKAS accredited. We handle over 98 000 histology and 7000 Diagnostic cytology specimens a year for our hospitals and GPs.

We serve six hospitals within Greater Manchester.

Active participation in CPD and opportunities for further study are encouraged and where possible supported. The department is committed to developing its staff

The successful candidate will be expected to be involved with all aspects of the routine histology service, and be the key trainer for the trainee Biomedical dissectors. Experience of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and confidence with IT programmes is essential.
