I am looking for a kind and supportive Personal Assistant to help me with day-to-day activities and make life a little easier. I’m a lady in my early 50s, living with bipolar disorder, ME and diabetes. I enjoy spending time with my pets and appreciate a relaxed, supportive environment.

Job Description:
Accompanying me to hospital and doctor’s appointments.
Making phone calls and handling various admin tasks.
Picking up medication and assisting with food shopping.
Helping me enjoy my hobbies and accessing the community.
Providing encouragement and support, especially on days when I may be feeling low.
Assisting with housework and other domestic duties.
Person specification
Essential:
Must have a car with a full UK driving license holder with appropriate business insurance cover, or there is also the option of using my husband’s mobility car (if you are over 25).
The ideal candidate would require calming, reassuring, caring and patience.
Good organizational skills and non-judgemental.
The person I employ must have an understanding of the need for confidentiality in all areas of work including total respect for my privacy.
A good sense of humour and a love for animals, as I have dogs, cats, and ducks (don’t worry, the ducks live outside!).
Comfortable with flexible daily tasks, as no two days are the same.
Understanding of mental health conditions like bipolar disorder and physical conditions like ME, which can affect what I’m able to do on certain days
Desirable:
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
Flexibility in working hours to accommodate the individual's needs.
Summary terms and conditions
The rate of pay for this position is £11.68 per hour.
Hours and times of work: 20 Hrs Per Week, Time discussed further at interview.
The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
Free Care Skills training is provided to employed staff.
The post is subject to the following:
A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
Satisfactory references from two referees, one of whom must be your current or last employer.
Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months
