Ward F6 is a 32 beds and F2N is 16 beds, with an additional high care bay of 4 patients on F2N. Both wards are Cardiac Surgery caring for patients undergoing both routine and complex cardiac and aortic surgery. There is an exciting opportunity for the possibility to be part of the 4 bedded ERAS bay. This bay is for fast track patients undergoing cardiac surgery, as part of phase 2 of ERAS-C pathway. Including patients with arterial, central lines, noradrenaline, pacing wires and drains 8 hours post surgery.

This will be an ideal learning opportunity for any qualified nurse with a passion for Cardiac surgery and who are eager to expand and progress their nursing practice. On appointment the successful candidate/s will receive full support in education and preceptorship/mentorship.

We are looking for individuals with a genuine interest in Cardiac Surgery who are hard working and passionate about delivering high standards of patient care and are motivated towards maintaining and improving their own skills.

A flexible approach to shift patterns is essential. Flexible working hours can include night duty and weekends.
