A little about myself:
I am a teenage girl living in Swansea. I love to go out to the park, swimming and going shopping. I also love arts and crafts. I have a diagnosis of Epilepsy, global developmental delay and hypermobility. My safety awareness is limited due to my additional needs, so I need to be supervised closely when out in the community. I can communicate verbally and make my wishes and feelings known. My epilepsy means that I can have absences and sometimes drop to the floor, so I will need my PA to keep a close eye on me. I would need a PA who is able to drive to take me out to do my chosen activities.

Hours of work
4 hours a week term time, 8 hours a week during school holidays – these hours are flexible, and my Mum is happy to agree these with the PA.

Rate of pay.
£12.75 per hour

Essential:
I need my PA to:
• Supervise me at all times.
• Ensure I am always safe.
• Listen to what I want.
• Undertake epilepsy training and follow the plan I have for my epilepsy.

Desirable
I’d prefer if:
• You have previous experience of working with children/young people with additional needs.
• You are fun and have a good sense of humour.
• Patience and understanding.

I will need my PA to:

Respect and understand the importance of privacy and confidentiality.
Be confident, mature and have patience.
Be dependable and arrive on time
Communicate with my Mum if you can’t make the session.
Be friendly with an easy-going manner.
Have a good sense of humour.
Be adaptable and flexible.
Be supportive but not take over.
Have business insurance on your car to be able to take me out.

Concerning the position
