Location: Frome & surrounding areas

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Peripatetic Support Worker to join our team. This role involves traveling between different locations to provide care and support to clients who may need assistance in their homes, care facilities, or community settings. Your role will be crucial in covering staff absences and supporting teams across various sites.

As a Peripatetic Support Worker, you'll bring flexibility, empathy, and a proactive attitude to every interaction, ensuring continuity of care and support for clients of diverse needs and backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide person-centered support across various locations, adapting to different environments and client requirements.

- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, mobility, and household tasks.

- Promote independence and encourage client participation in community and social activities.

- Work collaboratively with healthcare and support teams to deliver a high standard of care.

- Document care provided and report any concerns to supervisors promptly.

- Respond flexibly to scheduling needs, covering shifts at short notice when required.

We are looking for compassionate, adaptable, and resilient individuals who are dedicated to providing quality support. You should be comfortable working across different locations and confident in your ability to adapt quickly to new environments and clients.

Requirements:

- Experience: Previous experience in support work, social care, or a similar field is preferred.

- Qualifications: Relevant care qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care) are desirable, though not essential. Full training will be provided.

- Skills: Excellent communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills.

- Mobility: Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle Flexibility: Willingness to travel between sites and work on a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
