Post 2 - Queens Quay House, Clydebank
Our Activity Assistants ensure our Residents get the most out of life through vibrant social wellbeing and activities. We require someone who is vibrant, outgoing and passionate about making a difference. We support fresh ideas and a can do personality, encouraging our Residents with varying needs to enjoy and participate in a wide range of person centred activities to brighten their day.
Arts and crafts, strength and balance, gardening, planning events, being involved in the
Community, all of which supports our Residents to get the most out of life and continue with activities they may have been passionate about.

Good written and verbal communication as you will be responsible for care planning and activity recording documentation.
Experience in working in a social care environment is essential, possession of a SVQ 2 or
equivalent is desirable, however, successful applicants who do not hold this qualification must demonstrate a willingness to work towards achieving this within a reasonable timescale. We offer a full package of training and development through out ILearn and In-House development.
Requirements
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.
Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
Responsibilities
The employment for which you are applying is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975. Applicants are, therefore, not statutorily entitled to withhold information about convictions which for other purposes are "spent" under the provisions of the Act. In the event of employment any failure to disclose such convictions could result in dismissal or disciplinary action.
