DEPUTY MANAGER - ROCKFIELD


ANFIELD, L6 4BB


About the Role: As a Deputy Manager your responsibilities will include supporting the Registered Manager in appropriately managing the service in line with the Code of Conduct and Policies and Procedures.


You will share on a delegated basis the management duties within the service and support the Registered Manager in taking responsibility of supporting service users and managing the resources designated to the service.


Your responsibility will be to manage, supervise and motivate team members and undertake delegated management duties in the absence of a Registered Manager. You will ensure the effective deployment of staff in your service and contribute to the efficient and effective deployment of staff across the organisation in line with direction from your manager.


You are required to maintain confidentiality and conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times.


On a delegated basis you will be responsible for ensuring that all service user and service records are kept fully up to date as required and to ensure that all events and activities are fully evidenced providing a complete audit trail and to undertake administrative, and health and safety duties as delegated, by either policy or management.


You’ll also be responsible, on a delegated basis for the correct administration and record keeping for all service users’ medications in line with the current medication policy, and complete associated records in a full and accurate manner as required in the policy document. In addition to be responsible for ensuring annual health checks are carried out and service users are supported to make appropriate use of GP, dentist, chiropody and opticians services.


Salary: £32,339.25 - £36,220.19 per annum


Desirable/ Requirements: Level 5 Leadership & Management or working towards, experience in a leadership role


Hours of Work: 40 per week


Contract Type: Permanent

About the Service: Rockfield House is a residential care service supporting 14 male and female adults aged 18-64 with a primary diagnosis of Learning Disabilities.


Rockfield House, is a step-down from hospital or other services and also a step up from the community or other services. Providing 24 hour staff support for individuals living within the home. The level of support varies dependent on each Service User’s needs, with some Service Users requiring 1-1 support 24/7.


Rockfield House provides Service Users with the appropriate care and support to enable them to achieve their own potential by maximising well-being, independence, quality of life and autonomy to achieve full empowerment, ensuing PBS and Active Support are a key part of each Service User’s person-centred support plans.


We promote and support Service Users to have choice, freedom, respect, dignity, privacy, and to take informed risks, ensuring all Service Users are able to live a happy & fulfilled life.


Our aim is for Service Users to become skilled and independent to a point where they are able move to the Annex part of the home which is a step-down service, and then move on into the community to supported living services


Skills: Excellent organisational and supervisory skills, excellent communication skills (written and verbal), ability to contribute to, monitor and implement change that improves service delivery and outcomes for residents, IT literate.
