25 & 30 hours per week
We are recruiting support staff to work in Glyn Cynffig. We are looking for enthusiastic, creative, and flexible people to work with individuals who are experiencing mental health problems, mild learning difficulties, addressing substance misuse and others who are vulnerable, enabling them to gain skills necessary for independent living. You will be required to monitor progress on the implementation of individual plans, recording such monitoring as required.
A positive and supportive approach is a requirement of the role as the successful candidate will need to support people in a person-centred way with all areas of identified needs. This will include household and domestic tasks, shopping and food preparation, hygiene, personal health, budgeting, social activities, offering guidance and advice to enable people to make informed decisions and exercise their rights. You will be expected to assist people to register with a doctor and dentist of their choice, supporting them during visits if this is a requirement.
The role will involve recording all financial transactions relevant to Petty Cash, in line with Financial Regulations.
To support you in your role you will receive appropriate training, one to one supervision with your line manager, as well as regular team meetings.
For this post, you will need to be flexible and will participate in shift work. As you are required to work weekends, nights when required and bank holidays you are entitled to the enhanced rate of time and a third for these hours. You will have sleeping in duties, (for which an additional allowance is paid). The hours will be arranged by the manager of the service and subject to the needs of people supported.

Criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
