The Role

An opportunity has arisen to join the Community Response Service within Adult Social Care as a Telehealthcare Support Clerk. We are seeking a Telehealthcare Suppport Clerk with the passion to be at the forefront of providing services to the residents of Tameside.

As the Telehealthcare Support Clerk, your role is assisting the Service Co-ordinators, Tele healthcare Manager and Team Manager in all aspects of the development of tele healthcare service to Tameside residents. Your role will involve:

  • Provision of an appropriate and courteous response to all forms of enquiries, taking messages and making telephone calls, making appointments etc. as appropriate.
  • Provision of a reception service to all callers offering relevant advice / support as necessary
  • Input / Extract and maintain information
  • General enquiries
  • Ensure accurate and complete data for the service area
  • To provide a photocopying, filing, faxing and word processing service to the team.
  • Developing and maintaining effective admin systems in line with the Community Response Service requirements, and ensuring that all computerised and manual systems are updated and maintained to the appropriate standard. This includes handling Community Response and Telehealth stock databases.

The Community Response Service provides a 24 hour, 365 days per year emergency response service to vulnerable people living within the borough of Tameside. The service responds to a variety of emergency situations and liaises with a wide range of other agencies as dictated by individual circumstances, in cases supplying and monitoring numerous Tele healthcare devices.

About You

You will complete an induction and be offered the relevant training and support to develop techniques and skills to respond to vulnerable service users.

You will be required to work a 36 hour working week, normally Monday to Friday
