Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents in a care home setting. You will be responsible for supporting the daily needs of seniors, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being while also leading and supervising junior staff members. This position requires strong communication skills, a commitment to care plans, and the ability to drive positive outcomes for our residents. You will be supporting a range of clients in Skelmersdale, St Helens and the Merseyside area.


Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
Implement and monitor care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a warm and friendly environment.
Supervise junior staff members, offering guidance and support as needed.
Maintain accurate records of resident care and report any changes in condition to senior management.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to enhance skills and knowledge.
Administer Medication
Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or senior care setting is essential (Minimum 12 months).
Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience supervising staff preferred.
Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and documentation.
A valid driving licence is advantageous but not a necessity.
A caring attitude with a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of seniors.
Ability to work flexible hours as required by the needs of the residents.

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
