About us:-
My Life is a highly respected charity, and we are currently seeking a Support Worker / Personal Assistant to join our growing team of Community based staff in the North West. My Life was established in 2012 as a result of a group of people with disabilities and their families wanting something different to traditional types of health/social care services and wanting more choice and control over their own lives. My Life currently provides care and support to a growing number of individuals who have complex health and social care needs across the Lancashire. Our staff are integral to the success of the charity as they are the ones making a real difference to people’s lives.

Your Responsibilities:-
As Support Worker / Personal Assistant within our Peripatetic Team you will be working across a number of our community and site based teams. You will be an experienced Support Worker / Personal Assistant and you will have supported people with Autism, Learning Difficulties, Mental Health issues and / or people with physical disabilities. Ideally you will have some experience of healthcare tasks such as PEG feeding and be medication trained but full training will be given. Fundamentally, you will be working with existing teams on shift to deliver support as well as carrying out care audits, delivering training and being part of the quality control team to ensure systems/processes are followed and care delivered to the requisite high standard.

What you'll need to Succeed:-
You will be an experienced Support Worker / Personal Assistant and a self-starter who is committed to delivering positive person-centred care. You will demonstrate a flexible approach to work and be available to work 12 hour shifts. You will be kind, compassionate and able to support both clients and colleagues in a variety of settings. You will be credible and have the knowledge, passion and purpose to work with and empower others to carry out their role with confidence, you will hold a full driving licence.

The salary will be up to £15.50 per hour, depending on experience.
