Your new company
I am working exclusively with a small charity based in the heart of the community in the Romford area, and we are looking for a Project Manager with an understanding of the impact of food and food poverty on the community. We are looking for someone who can build strong relationships with businesses, other charities and the local authority.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to lead the opening of two new community hubs for our charity. This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and launch of the hubs within a tight 6-month timeframe. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that these hubs meet the needs of local communities and align with the charity's mission of providing essential services and support to marginalised and vulnerable older adults. This role will initially be a 6-month FTC with the view to going permanent.

* Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including funders, community groups, local authorities, and internal teams.

* Budget Management: Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets and financial reporting.

* Problem-Solving & Adaptability: A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.

* Knowledge of Community Development: Understanding of the challenges faced by marginalised communities and experience in creating welcoming, inclusive spaces.

  • A collaborative and supportive working environment.

  • Benefits such as flexible working, pension schemes, professional development opportunities.
