Company Description
Un1ty Group are looking to onboard a number of Temporary Children's Residential Support Workers for our national client. We are recruiting for various sites across Yorkshire and the Humber, Manchester, Liverpool, West Midlands and the North East.

As a Children’s and Young Person support worker you should be highly motivated, committed and have a genuine interest in delivering the highest quality of care for children and young people. With Un1ty Group you will work across a variety of settings including Mental Health, Autism, Challenging behaviour, Education and Residential services.

Your job role as a support worker will involve you working closely with children in care and putting them at the centre of everything you do. Your day to day role will require you to support them in all aspects of their lives such as educational pursuits, hobbies and activities.

Your experience and support will be influential in developing and contributing towards positive outcomes to help shape the future of children and young people.

Role Description

• To support, safeguard and promote the wellbeing of children and young people
• Assist with daily routines which may include working in the community and/or educational setting
• Organising and facilitating social activities
• Transportation
• Work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to implement safe practice
• Offer high levels of supervision and support
• Working in line with Ofsted
• Manage complex behaviours, crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
• Contributing to the young person’s care plans and risk assessments, their review and implementation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children and collaborate with colleagues
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow safeguarding protocols
• Some of the children you will be supporting may have physical disabilities and therefore require assistance with personal care
• Experienced working with care plans and liaising with multiple agencies.





What we are looking for

• A minimum of 6 months experience working within a child and/or young adults setting in the past year
• Knowledge in one of the following areas EBD, SEMH, CSE and SEND
• Level 3 in Health & Social Care/Children & Young People or working towards this
• Must hold a valid UK Driving Licence
• All candidates must be over the age of 18 (21 in some circumstances) to meet industry regulations
• Team Teach or CPI training
