ABOUT THE RECEPTIONIST ROLE

**WEEKENDS ONLY**

**SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, 10AM TO 6PM**

The purpose of the receptionist is to ensure the efficient and smooth running of the secure hospital reception area. Effective management of hospital security systems, to promote a professional approach to meeting and greeting visitors and ensure inbound calls are answered and directed to the correct department/ individual.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF OUR RECEPTIONISTS INCLUDE

o To effectively manage the secure reception entrance to the hospital.
o Greet visitors and callers in a polite and professional manner and always represent the company in a positive light
o To facilitate the administration of day-to-day security requirements, i.e. signing out keys and alarms and auditing of same, testing alarms and pagers etc
o To carry out reception administrative tasks, e.g., post, photocopying, laminating etc
o To operate the company's central switchboard effectively and ensure a prompt response to incoming calls, taking accurate messages when required
o To always keep the reception area in a presentable fashion
o To effectively manage or complete job functions and tasks which are specifically delegated to you by the operations manager


ABOUT YOU

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLSET

o At least 1 years experience in a similar environment/ receptionist role
o Competent PC skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
o Experience in typing with a high level of accuracy.
o Ability to work well under pressure
o Ability to adopt a flexible working approach
o Ability to prioritise workloads
o Possess excellent organisational skills
o Ability to follow policies and procedures and to ensure their implementation and compliance with them
o Ability to facilitate team working for the benefit of patients and staff
o Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
o Willingness to receive supervision and personal appraisal
o Willingness to undertake training in accordance with assessed needs
o Willingness to adhere to anti-discrimination, health and safety and other statutory policies
