Job Title: Ofsted Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Care Home (EBD)

Salary: £40k-£60k depending on experience

Job Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Ofsted Registered Manager to lead our children’s residential care home. The ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to safeguarding, high standards of care, and a proactive approach to meeting Ofsted requirements. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a positive, therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the home meets Ofsted standards, Children’s Homes Regulations, and other legal requirements. Prepare for inspections and maintain accurate records.
Safeguarding and Child Protection: Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring all policies are strictly followed to protect children’s safety and well-being.
Staff Leadership: Lead recruitment, training, and development of care staff, providing regular supervision, performance reviews, and mentoring.
Individualized Care Planning: Develop and monitor personalized care plans in coordination with therapeutic and educational professionals to meet each child’s unique needs.
Creating a Positive Environment: Foster a warm, family-like atmosphere, encouraging children’s social, emotional, and personal development.
Resource and Budget Management: Oversee financial resources, ensuring efficient use of budgets to maintain high-quality care.
Behaviour and Crisis Management: Implement positive behaviour management techniques and handle crises calmly, supporting staff in challenging situations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to achieve this).
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a children’s residential setting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Children’s Homes Regulations, and Ofsted requirements.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
